You might be looking at this page because someone has talked to you about living at Bright Futures. It is completely normal to have questions—or to feel worried, curious, hopeful, unsure, or all of those things at once.
What you can expect ↓
Your home. A whole team.
Support shaped around you.
Each Bright Futures home is for one child or young person at a time.
What you can expect
No website can tell you exactly what every day will be like. But these are the promises that guide how we care.
Your feelings, views and ideas matter. We will make time to hear you and explain decisions clearly.
You will be the only child or young person living in the home, with your own bedroom and space to keep the things that matter to you.
There will always be adults around to help you feel safe. Usually, at least two team members will support you at a time.
We will learn what helps, what is difficult, what makes you laugh and what you would like for your future.
We will support hobbies, activities, education, celebrations and new experiences—not only appointments and plans.
Difficult days do not make us give up. We will stay calm, keep caring and help you move forward.

There is no rush to know everything on day one.
Your first days
Where possible, you can see the home, meet some of the adults and ask anything you want to know.
We will welcome you gently, show you around and help you settle in at a pace that feels manageable.
We will build routines with you, help you personalise your room and make plans around your interests and goals.
Honest care
Adults will sometimes set boundaries or say no because keeping you safe is part of their job. They should always explain things, speak to you with respect and help you understand what happens next.
If something does not feel right, you can tell a team member, the home manager, your social worker or another trusted adult. You have the right to ask questions and to be taken seriously.
Your voice
We want to understand your identity, culture, family relationships, beliefs, interests and hopes. Where it is safe and right for you, we will help you stay connected to the people and places that matter.
Still have questions?
