“As someone who grew up in care and later worked on the frontline, I understand how powerful a consistent, caring adult can be in a young person's life.”
I built Bright Futures not as a distant corporate care provider, but as a place that feels like home. A place where children and young people are nurtured, respected, protected and believed in.
This work is hard and it is not for everybody. It requires strength, patience, emotional resilience and a genuine commitment not to disappear when things become difficult. That is when children and young people need us to appear.

What the role asks of you
Regulate yourself so you can help a child regulate through risk, conflict and distress.
Keep routines, boundaries and promises steady, even when they are tested.
Communicate honestly, accept feedback and support colleagues around a shared plan.
Treat cleanliness, records, safeguarding, learning and everyday care as equally important.
You will be supported by home leadership and a senior team that understands the work. We want to invest in people, listen, develop potential and celebrate contribution while remaining clear about the responsibility that comes with caring for children and young people.
